Goodtime Music Academy

Want to learn an instrument, play in a band and perform on a stage?! Well your child’s school is one of the lucky schools that has Goodtime Music Academy here each week to run its one-of-a-kind Music Bus Programme. Learn more at GoodtimeMusicAcademy.co.nz

Students can choose from learning the Drums, Keyboard, Ukulele and Guitar. These small group lessons (3-5 students) are 30 minutes long and are held weekly, on the school grounds and throughout the school day. Spaces in lessons are limited and students that are not able to be placed this term will be placed on a waiting list until a space opens up.

 

Lessons are $17.50 per week and are invoiced by the term. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment options are available through Ezidebit.

Johnsonville Scouts are currently looking for new members and welcome Children Age 6-14 for Keas, Cubs and Scouts, if you are interested in joining, please contact our Group Leader Johann Weich  at  scoutsjville@gmail.com.

Meeting days: Keas (age 6-8) Thursday; Cubs (age 8-10 1/2 ) Monday / Tuesday; Scouts (10 1/2 – 14) Wednesday.

We have a free trial period of four weeks for any of our sections and would love to have you come along and give it a try.

Olympic Junior Athletics

Registration is now open for the Junior Athletics Season.

Club nights are Wednesday evenings.  Please see www.olympicjuniors.nz for information on our club nights (see Junior athletics tab) and registration (see membership tab).

Our first club night is Wednesday 21 October 2019,  at Grenada North.

Further details about other athletic events such as interclub meets at Newtown and Colgate Games will be available at club nights.

Athletics is a great sport for developing not only in the track and field area but also in skills for all other sports.

KELLY SPORTS – HOLIDAY AND TERM PROGRAMMES

FOOTBALL MORNING HOLIDAY PROGRAMME (Yrs. 1–6) Wests Rugby Clubrooms, Wilton (all weather indoor surface).

Children aged between 5 and 12 can come along and improve their technique, knowledge and skills. We will focus on the core skills of control, dribbling, passing, tackling and shooting but MOST importantly having as much FUN as possible!

Week 1 – Tues, Wed, Thurs 9.30am-12.30pm, Week 2 – Tues, Weds, Thurs 9.30am-12.30pm

 

NETBALL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME – NORTHLAND MEMORIAL HALL (NEW VENUE!)

Come along and grow your child’s confidence at the Kelly Sports Netball Holiday Programme.

Years 1-4 – Learn the basic fundamentals of netball in a fun and engaging environment. Learn the key skills and understanding of the game, ball handling, co-ordination, speed and accuracy.

Years 5-8 – For those already playing 7-a-side netball and those wanting to get a head start and advance their technical and tactical knowledge of the game.

We use fun drills and games to develop and challenge young players focusing on the key skill areas for their level of development while also having fun!

Week 2 – Tues, Weds, Thurs 9am-12pm.

Kelly Sports will be back in Term 4 with their fun and exciting classes. Kelly Sports encourages children to have fun, build confidence and to give sport a go. We believe that sport and physical activity has so much to offer young people; it improves

fitness, develops communication skills, team work and gives them a place to channel their energy.

Back to School Sports!  (Yrs 0-4) – Tuesday’s 3.05pm-4.05pm! – Come and try the following sports: Football, Basketball, Cricket, Ultimate Frisbee and Fun Games!It’s a great way to try new sports, learn new skills and improve ability.

We use games & drills to teach game sense and team play.  Your child will learn the fundamental skills for all sports – throwing, running, jumping, striking, balance and many more – all while having a great time!

Springboard & Platform Diving at Kilbirnie Pool

Wellington Diving Club has a range of diving classes for kids aged 5 years and up. Why not try something new this year? Visit our website and come along for a free trial!
